Born in Lebanon in 1948, Elias Khoury is an internationally acclaimed novelist, writer, and cultural figure. He authored several journalistic, political, and literary-critical pieces throughout his career, in addition to plays. He is the author of fourteen novels, most of which have been translated to English, French, and Hebrew, among many other languages. Khoury is currently editor-in-chief of the
Majallat al Dirasat al Filastiniyya(Journal of Palestine Studies) in Beirut, Lebanon. He served as editor of many cultural and literary journals throughout his lifetime, including
