Nigerian-born author Irenosen Okojie is a relatively new player on the British literary landscape. After spending the first eight years of her life in Nigeria, she proceeded to receive her education between several boarding schools (Gresham’s Boarding School in Holt, Norfolk; Stamford Boarding School for Girls in Stamford, Lincolnshire) and London-based schools, early on cementing her strong relationship with this vibrant, dynamic city (Okojie 2017). She went on to attended London Metropolitan University where she studied Communications and Visual Culture. London has since evolved to become the pivotal element of her writing.
