Suhaiymah Manzoor-Khan is a British Muslim spoken word poet and activist who is engaged in humanitarian issues including tackling Islamophobia in Britain. She was born in Bradford and raised in Leeds. Belonging to a British Pakistani Muslim family, Manzoor-Khan’s cultural and religious background required her to balance her duties as a British Muslim woman with her creative and activist work. She is a devout Muslim and explains her religious status as “ascribe[d] to a radical politics of hope also known as submission to Allah” (Manzoor-Khan, 2022, web).
