Robert E. Fleming

Robert E. Fleming is Professor Emeritus at the University of New Mexico. He has published several books on African-American writers, including Willard Motley and James Weldon Johnson. More recently he has concentrated on Ernest Hemingway, on whom he is the author of The Face in the Mirror: Hemingway's Writers and some two dozen articles and book chapters; the editor of Hemingway and the Natural World; and co-editor of Under Kilimanjaro, an edition of Hemingway's manuscript based on his final African safari.
