Ben Bollig

Ben Bollig is Faculty Lecturer in Spanish American Literature; Fellow and Tutor in Spanish, St Catherine’s College; and Associate Lecturer in Spanish, St John’s College, University of Oxford (See profile). He took a first in Hispanic Studies at Nottingham and completed an MA and then a PhD at King's College, London, in 2004. He published Néstor Perlongher. The Poetic Search for an Argentine Marginal Voice with University of Wales Press in 2008. With Pablo San Martin he edited 31. An Anthology of Saharaui Resistance Poetry in Spanish in 2008. He published Modern Argentine Poetry: Displacement, Exile, Migration with University of Wales Press in 2011 and, alongside Dr Cornelia Graebner of Lancaster University, coordinates the Poetics of Resistance project. His translations of poetry have appeared in journals such as Calque, Janus Head and Journal of Latin American Cultural Studies and two volumes of translations were published by Eloisa Cartonera publishers, Buenos Aires. He is an occasional contributor to Guardian Weekly, The TLS and El extremo sur: Confines.
