Joseph John Haldane
Joe Haldane's doctoral thesis was a manuscript-based study of Stendhal's fictional works, and was awarded by the University of London in 2007. His main area of academic interest centers on France between 1783-1842, and the literature, politics and history of the period.
He has taught at the University of Paris XII (2002-2004), at the French Press Institute in the University of Paris II - Panthéon-Assas (2003-2004) and was a full-time lecturer at the French National Foundation for Political Science (IEP Sciences Po) in Paris, where he directed a postgraduate course on British Politics and Media in the School of Journalism (2004-2005). He is currently Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Asian Studies at Nagoya University of Commerce and Business, Japan.
