Thomas A. Fudge

Thomas Fudge is an historian of Christianity with particular interests in the medieval and reformation periods. He is a specialist on Jan Hus and Hussite history. He holds a PhD in medieval history from Cambridge and a PhD in theology from Otago University. He is the author of The Magnificent Ride: The First Reformation in Hussite Bohemia (1998), The Crusade Against Heretics in Bohemia, 1418–1437 (2002), Jan Hus: Religious Reform and Social Revolution in Bohemia (2010), The Memory and Motivation of Jan Hus, Medieval Priest and Martyr (2013), The Trial of Jan Hus: Medieval Heresy and Criminal Procedure (2013), and Heresy and Hussites in Late Medieval Europe (2014). He has held academic appointments in the United States and New Zealand and now works at the University of New England in Australia. His current research is on medieval heresy in the later Middle Ages, and Hussite history, especially Jan Hus and Jerome of Prague.
