Cornelia Gräbner
Cornelia Gräbner (Graebner) is a lecturer in Hispanic Studies at Lancaster University, U.K. She holds an M.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of Bonn, Germany, and a PhD in Cultural Analysis from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her research revolves around political commitment in literature, especially - but not exclusively - poetry. Her main areas of interest are Performance Poetry, cultural and poetic interventions in urban space, the poetics of resistance, and committed writing in 20th and 21st century Mexico, especially representations of the guerrilla and of the dirty wars in Latin America. She currently researches on the contribution of literature and poetic language to imaginaries of alterglobalisation. She is a member of the network Poetics of Resistance www.poeres.org.
