Laura Laffrado

Laura Laffrado is most recently the author of Selected Writings of Ella Higginson: Inventing Pacific Northwest Literature , winner of the 2018 Society for the Study of American Women Writers Edition Award. Her previous books include Uncommon Women: Gender and Representation in U.S. Women's Writing and Hawthorne's Literature for Children. Her essays have appeared in a/b: Auto/Biography Studies, ESQ, Nathaniel Hawthorne Review, Legacy: A Journal of American Women Writers, Studies in Eighteenth-Century Culture, and other journals and collections. She is Professor of English at Western Washington University.
