Ann Martin

Ann Martin is an Assistant Professor with the Department of English at the University of Saskatchewan, where she teaches 20th C. British Literature and was the lead organizer for the 22nd Annual International Conference on Virginia Woolf. She received her doctorate from the University of Toronto and held a postdoctoral fellowship at Queen’s University. Her book, Red Riding Hood and the Wolf in Bed: Modernism's Fairy Tales (UTP 2006; reprinted 2007), explores the dynamics of intertextuality in works by James Joyce, Virginia Woolf, and Djuna Barnes. While she has published articles on Canadian literature, both modern and contemporary, her current research addresses the role of the motor-car in novels by Woolf, Dorothy L. Sayers, and other British writers of the interwar period.
