Chris Stamatakis

Dr Chris Stamatakis specialises in sixteenth-century poetry, rhetoric, and the transmission of verse in court circles. Besides editing a digital edition of Sir Thomas Wyatt's poetry, he is author of Sir Thomas Wyatt and the Rhetoric of Rewriting: Turning the Word (OUP, 2012).

Currently, he is working on a book that examines the influence of Italian literature on English vernacular poetics and poetic theory in the sixteenth century.
