Rod Phillips

Rod Phillips is Professor Emeritus of Humanities, Culture, and Writing at Michigan State University's James Madison College. He is the author of Forest Beatniks & Urban Thoreaus: Jack Kerouac, Gary Snyder, Lew Welch, and Michael McClure and has published Western Writers Series monographs about Lew Welch and Michael McClure. He is the recipient of the M.S.U. Teacher-Scholar Award.
