Barbara Gutkowska

Barbara Gutkowska is a Professor in the Department of Contemporary Polish Literature at the University of Silesia. Her publications include about thirty scholarly articles about modern and contemporary Polish prose and three books: The Novels of Stanis?aw Dygat. Time and space of a life and a dream (Powie?ci Stanis?awa Dygata. Czas i przestrze? ?ycia i marzenia, Katowice 1996), About "Tango" and "Emmigrants" of S?awomir Mro?ek (O „Tangu” i „Emigrantach” S?awomira Mro?ka, Katowice 1998), Deciphering trails. About 20th century autobiographism (Odczytywanie ?ladów. W kr?gu dwudziestowiecznego autobiografizmu Katowice 2005). She is currently working on a book about autobiographism in the polymorphic works of S?awomir Mro?ek.
