Adam Horsley
I currently hold a British Academy Postdoctoral Research Fellow in French at the University of Exeter, for a project entitled 'Libertine Literature and Criminal Justice in Early Seventeenth-Century France.' I am currently preparing a monograph on the criminal trials of libertine authors, in addition to my wider research into the early modern criminal justice system. My research interests within the field of early modern French studies include libertine literature (especially Théophile de Viau and François Maynard), the criminal justice system, material bibliography and utopian literature.
