Alexandre Burin
I am a PhD student with the AHRC Northern Bridge Doctoral Training Partnership at Durham University. My doctoral research explores the works of Jean Lorrain through the notion of 'survivance'. It also constitutes a new way of looking at the fin-de-siècle and a contribution to the reading of cultural history through the use of modern theories. Before moving to Durham I completed both my BA and MA at the University of Paris Nanterre La Défense and I worked as French lecteur and tutor at King's College London and Oxford University.
