Cosetta Seno
Cosetta Seno is Associate Professor of Italian at the University of Colorado at Boulder and President of the Women's Studies Caucus for the American Association of Italian Studies. (AAIS). She received her PhD at the University of California, Berkeley.
She specializes in 19th and 20th C. Literature and Culture with emphasis on women writers and gender theories. In 2010 co-authored with Professor Paolo Cherchi: Gli italiani e l'italiano nel nord America . (Ravenna: Longo) In 2013 she published Anna Maria Ortese. Un avventuroso realismo (Ravenna: Longo), in which she investigated Ortese's revision and re-interpretation of recent Italian history through the tool of fantasy. In her new book length project, tentatively titled Mediterranean Spaces and Places within Narrative Reportage, she analyzes the evolution of the narrative genre of reportage with particular reference to the representation of the city of Naples.
