Valentina Venturini
Valentina Venturini is full professor in “Theatre Studies” at
the Faculty of Arts of University Roma Tre.
Her research activity is mostly focused on theatrical traditions,
as well as their principles, developments and de-generations.
More in detail, her work involves the Neapolitan theatre between
end XIX and first-half XX century and its great “exception”,
Raffaele Viviani; the Sicilian theatre of puppets and “Cunto” and
their last great heir and master, Mimmo Cuticchio.
She is theatrical critic, since February 2001 she is member of the
Society of Professional Journalists and she is editor-in-chief of
the performing arts magazine “Inscena”.

She is author of encyclopaedic entries for Treccani and of essays
for “Teatro e Storia”, “Ariel”, “Sincronie”, “Dioniso” and
“Biblioteca teatrale”. She is author of the monographic works:
