Premangshur Rokto Chai[Blood for Premangshu] was not published until 1970. Although popularly known as a poet, he has also written novels, short stories, stories for children, travelogues, autobiographies, essays, interviews, and translated the Vietnamese poet To Huu. He has published around one hundred titles, including 45 collections of verse and 55 collections of prose. He has also written a book on cricket, and exhibited his paintings as a self-taught artist in 2009.
