Usman Tanveer Malik is a Pakistani American writer of science fiction, horror, and fantasy—collectively classed under the umbrella term of speculative fiction. Apace with a demanding profession as a practicing rheumatologist both in Pakistan and in the United States, Malik has sustained and nurtured his childhood passion for reading and writing about what he prefers to describe as “uncanny fiction, weird fiction, and horror fantasy” (Sadaf in conversation with Malik, 2023,
