Gabriel Josipovici is a major contemporary British author. If this fact has so far escaped the notice of British literary critics and much of the British public, this is no doubt due to Josipovici’s denigration as “merely” an “experimentalist” (Jarfe 2006: 123; Pernot 2014: 2/11; Wolf 2014: 2/25; Jarfe also calls his writing “innovative, but also rather idiosyncratic” – 2006: 122).
