Alberto Carocci (1904-1972), a young Florentine lawyer, was the founder of the magazine and its sole director until January 1930, when Giansiro Ferrata (1907-1986) joined him as co-director. As of the November issue of the same year, Ferrata was replaced in this role by Alessandro Bonsanti (1904-1984).
