The Lexicon Sabbaiticum is a medieval-era dictionary of ancient Greek words and realia (chiefly of ancient Athens). Its exact date and compilers are unknown. It was found by 19th century Greek-born medieval scholar A. Papadopulos-Kerameus in the Library of the Greek-Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem (cod. Jerusalem, Patriarchal Library, St. Sabbas, no. 137, foll. 162-169, 14th/15th cent.) and eventually published by him in St. Petersburg (Papadopulos-Kerameus 1892). In its first published form, the Lexicon Sabbaiticum (from now on: Lex. Sabb.) preserved entries only beginning with the first four letters of the Greek alphabet (i.e. entries from A-Δ and a part of the E. Last entry: ἐξαιρέσεως δίκη).
