Narrator and Plot
Chuck Palahniuk’s grotesque, minimalist, and satirical books are populated by self-destructive protagonists, often service industry workers who live on society’s fringes because of castigating class determination or middle-class bourgeoisie, who make the free transgressive choice to leave the cultural center.
