The Essential Colin Wilsonwas published in the U.K. by Harrap Limited in 1985 and Celestial Arts (Berkeley, CA) in the U.S. a year later. A paperback edition appeared in the U.K. in 1987 published by Grafton. It consists mostly of extracts chosen from his printed books—both fiction and non-fiction—the exception being his essay “Peak Experience” which was published in
The Schumacher Lectures Vol. 2edited by Kumar Satish (London: Blond & Briggs, 1984). It should not be confused with the compact disc of the same title issued by Nimbus Records (Wyastone Leys, Monmouth, 1988) which has different contents.
