The Diary of Anne Frankremains one of the most widely-read books in the world. As the chronicle of a young Jewish woman’s two years in hiding from the Nazis, the diary has introduced billions of readers to the Holocaust. To date, it has appeared in sixty-five different languages and constitutes required reading in secondary schools around the world.
