Girl, Woman, Otherin 2019, she attained global acclaim, receiving broad media and scholarly attention. Evaristo is a prolific writer who has to date (2020) written a total of eight works of fiction.
Mr Lovermanis her seventh book-length publication and second prose novel, and was awarded the Publishing Triangle’s Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBT Fiction in 2015.
Mr Lovermanis an exceptionally insightful novel that offers the unique perspective of queer elderly Antiguan-Windrusher Barrington (fondly called “Barry”), and in this way represents an intersectional perspective of Caribbean-British migration, race, and queer ageing. With these features, the novel no less than revolutionised the canon of black British fiction.
