Make It New

is the name applied to three distinct literary productions:

1. A book of essays by Ezra Pound, published in September 1934, containing selected reprints of Pound’s prose writings from the 1913-20 period, with two later pieces. 2. A phrase that Ezra Pound coined by mistranslation in 1928: in retrospective legend, it is mistakenly supposed to have been a slogan inspiring the innovations of literary modernism, although it was entirely unknown in the heyday (c. 1910-28) of that movement, achieving currency only in the 1950s. 3. The online quarterly journal of the Ezra Pound Society, launched in 2014.
