If they do extend themselves, however, they will find enough there of interest, although some of the detailed political information may not seem sufficient reward for the effort. For example, the book often goes into intricate detail about the various groups operating in Spain, and a reader not already familiar with some of the historical situation, and some of the groups mentioned, may find it a struggle to differentiate the POUM from the PSUC.
