Every Man in His Humour

is a comedy by Ben Jonson first performed in 1598. It is notable for being one of the first comedies of humours to be produced in early modern England and for having been substantially revised between the first publication in a quarto text and the second publication in the first folio.

The play first appeared in print in 1601 in a quarto edition. It was next published in a revised version in the folio Works of Benjamin Jonson (1616) and also reprinted in this revised format in the first volume of the second folio (1640/41). The revised folio version moves the action from Florence to London and changes the Italian names of characters into English or anglicized names (this entry uses the English versions).
