Apart from the 36 plays that made it into the First Folio edition (1623), there are a few that float around the edges of the Shakespeare canon, attributed at one time or another to the bard himself or to a collaboration with him. Such plays include

Edward III

, published anonymously in 1596, though many think it is partly Shakespeare’s and is now included in both the Riverside and the Oxford editions;

Pericles

, published in a 1609 quarto and then in the Third Folio of 1664, and now accepted as a Shakespeare collaboration with George Wilkins;

The Two Noble Kinsmen

, published in a quarto of 1634 as a collaboration between Shakespeare and John Fletcher;

A Yorkshire Tragedy

, published in a 1608 quarto and attributed to Shakespeare, but now thought to be by Thomas Middleton. There are several…
